Getting Started

The macro entry point for a Principal instantiating this template. Read this first, then docs/canon.md for the full map.

What this is

A reusable business ideator · incubator · builder · operator — a self-organizing company of Claude Code agents that takes a venture from idea to operating company. The template is the product (TEMPLATE.md).

Instantiate a new venture

  1. Copy the template (GitHub “Use this template”, or clone).
  2. Set identity: scripts/new-repo.sh "Project Name" "Principal Name" (fills {{PROJECT_NAME}} / {{PRINCIPAL}}).
  3. Enter via one of the two entry points (GR-5): inject a JSON ideation spec (specs/ideation-spec.draft.json, from the monorepo) — or direct chat. This seeds Ideate.
  4. Run the Standard Flow (docs/methodology.md): Ideate → Plan → Build → Grow → Operate, with design research at the core; the CPTO and Principal gate each step.

How the company runs

  • Units & roles: ORG.md. Rules: CLAUDE.md (Golden Rules).
  • Policies & handbook: hr/. Records: archive/ (versioned, checksum-verified).
  • Cadence: a daily briefing (open) and day’s report (close) → Notion (hr/policies/operating-cadence.md).
  • Workforce ops: /agents:hire | train | review | combine | fire | sync.

Daily

Every session opens with the canon review (docs/canon.md), an integrity check, and a Notion reconcile; it closes with the day’s report and a decisions-capture (GR-6).
